Another Bumper Veggie Crop At Malacañang Park

The second cropping of the Hardin Ng Lunas, the vegetable garden at the Malacañang Park, yielded a bumper crop of pechay, mustard and upland kangkong. The garden was replanted on February 21 and harvested on April 3, led by the incoming PSG Group Commander BGen. Lope Dagoy. The second planting yielded 2,040 pechay, 1,120 mustard and 5,260 kangkong plants. As in the first cropping that was harvested on February 6, 2017 presided by Pres. Duterte, the harvest was shared with recipients that included the less privileged families in the surrounding community.

Harvesting was led by incoming PSG Commander BGen. Lope Dagoy.
The Hardin ng Lunas is a joint project of the Presidential Security Group (PSG), then headed by BGen. Rolando Joselito D. Bautista, and the Tarlac Heritage Foundation headed by Dr. Isa Cojuangco Suntay. Before leaving PSG, Gen. Bautista and Dr. Suntay turned over the garden on March 23 to the PSG Chief of Staff Col. Potenciano Camba.

Providing the technical help in producing beautifully grown vegetables is Anthony Cortes, a UP Los Baños graduate who distributes Supravim, a product that accelerates the growth of plants, not only vegetables but also rice, corn, fruit trees and many others.
