ASCENT is the name of this very prolific hot pepper variety under trial at the experimental farm of Known-You  Philippines (KYP) in Brgy. San Pedro Ili, Alcala, Pangasinan.

It is one of several varieties of high-value crops being tested for their performance under Philippine conditions.
