Banna Group Goes For Indian Black Pepper


Members of the barangay council of Brgy.3 Lorenzo in Banna, Ilocos Norte had a “Lakbay Aral” tour of the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal on November 23, 2013.
The group was led by Chairman Onesimo de los Santos who said they were interested in exotic fruit trees. With him were Melvin Randy N . Tabaniag, Willie B. Domanico Sr., Mario C. Domanico, Jose G. Santiago, Genelyn R. Turate, Armelito Aoalin, Alex D. Gayya, Ralph Daniel S. Pascua, Amelita P. Romualdo (treasurer), Rosie B. Aoalin (Brgy. secretary), Chester Romualdo and Kirbie Shane Aoalin.

They were particularly interested in the prolific Paniyur variety of Indian black pepper grown on mahogany trees. They bought planting materials that they intend to grow in their own farms.
