This is a big bunch of Honduras banana harvested from the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal. The bunch consisted of 13 hands, the biggest of which consisted of 28 fingers. The biggest hand weighed five kilos. All in all, the bunch consisted of 252 fingers. Wendell Sarian is posing with the big bunch.
This variety was developed by the Fundacion Hondureña de Investigacion Agricola (FHIA) or Honduras Agricultural Research Foundation. The individual fruits are big with just the right sweetness. A few suckers have been obtained by a number of local fruit hobbyists.
