Bohol Mango Symposium: Sept. 30, 2017, Tubigon Cultural Center

Three agencies are collaborating to stage the First Bohol Mango Symposium that will be held at the Tubigon Cultural Center on September 30, 2017. The agencies are the Bohol Mango Industry Organization headed by Martin Nuñez Jr., The Aani Mango Industry Association headed by Antonio S. Rola, and the local government of Tubigon in collaboration with Lucky Gam Agri Trade Company.

Highlights of the event include workshops and seminars on the Best Agricultural Practices and market linkages. Participants include farmers, processors, exporters, wholesalers, spray contractors, mango consultants and other stakeholders. They will be introduced to various opportunities both in the domestic and export markets. Investment and credit programs will also be highlighted.

The organizers aim to promote the growth and development of the mango industry in Bohol. The resource persons will discuss how to achieve long-term sustainability and food safety in the mango industry.

The organizers hope to come up with recommendations on policy directions and strategic improvements in enhancing the level of productivity, marketability and global competitiveness of the Bohol mango industry.
