BUFFALO is the name of a hybrid jumbo watermelon that has become a favorite of growers in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte as well as in Isabela.
This red-fleshed variety weighs about 14 to 15 kilos per fruit. It is sweet and juicy.
BUFFALO is one of the varieties introduced by Known-You Philippines that is being recommended now for commercial planting.
The plant is sturdy and is claimed to be resistant to common diseases of watermelon.
