CHALLENGE TO THE YOUNG: Start Developing Your Farm Now!

If you are just 17 and you start planting grafted lanzones now, you will be enjoying the luscious fruits as early as when you are 23.

It’s wise to start developing your own farm while still young. How young? The younger the better. We remember a fellow who started planting lanzones in his family’s coconut farm in San Pablo City many years ago while we were working in Los Banos. He was a student  who was only 17 then but was farsighted enough to start planting his favorite fruit tree.

There are advantages in starting farming while you are still young. You will know early in life the realities in farming. There are risks in farming but these risks should keep you on your toes.

Mistakes are usually inevitable but if you are still young, there’s enough time to make amends. Mistakes can make you more creative in your farming strategies.

Luscious Longkong lanzones fruits are yours to enjoy early in life if you start developing your farm while you are young.

  1. This is the perfect moment to review and study how we can reinvent in doing our agribusiness. In the recent discussion of Agri in GoNegosyo (April 9, 11am, Go Negosyo FB Live), it emphasizes that Agribusiness will surely be a game changer in the future of the Philippines and around the world. The young are in the advantage position to marry agri and advance technology. We are not only speaking about the internet of things but also the application of science in food safety, preservation or storage. I would like to encourage the young and the young at heart to rally behind this cause. The article which Zac illustrated is like hitting the nail exactly on the head.
