WE PASSED by this morning (Feb. 25, 2015) at the Flora Filipina 2015 Expo at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City while the judges were busy evaluating the entries in the competition. Here are some the outstanding plants we saw. The garden show will run through March 9, 2015.

A group of gorgeous ย Grammatophyllum citrinum with their lemon green inflorescence.

Then there is this tough-looking, towering Sansevieria Bella from the collection of the late Atty. Pepito Mercado. Visit the garden show and inquire thru the Secretariat- for those interested to buy from this sanse and agave collection.

We also spotted the Chandelier Medinilla which is said to be indigenous.

We saw for the first time this Philodendron Collosum.

There is also this giant Philodendron Gorgon.

An old favorite is this Rhapis humilis with finely divided leaves.

A vegetable and flower arrangement of Allied Botanical consisting of sunflower, sorghum head and salad greens (lettuce).
