Managing the Impact of Climate Change on Agriculture is one of the topics that will be discussed in the 24th North Luzon Area Business Conference on July 8-10, 2015 at the Plaza del Norte Hotel and Convention Center in Laoag City.Theme of the conference is Rapid Development Through Strategic Partnerships.
The conference is under the auspices of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Ilocos Norte in cooperation with the Ilocos Norte Convention and Visitors Bureau, Laoag City government, and Ilocos Norte provincial government.
. It will focus on building synergies and strategic alliances to propel the development of North Luzon to one that is vibrant, middle income and job-rich economy. Aside from climate adaptation, the conference will also focus on business and investment opportunities in tourism and energy sectors, education, capital market development, brand protection and development and local economic development.
The role of the private sector in building tourism infrastructure will be discussed by a panel to be moderated by Francisco L. Villanueva, president of Metro Angeles CCI.
Renewable Energy potentials in North Luzon will be discussed by a panel moderated by Jose Alejandro, vice president of PCCI. Another topic is Managing the Impact of Climate Change on Agriculture which will be moderated by Jess Nicdao, president of Pampanga CCI.
