Clustering Eggplant From Allied Botanical


ALLIED BOTANICAL CORPORATION has come out with a new hybrid eggplant that has a clustering habit.

Called Condor Lightning, it is claimed to produce an average of 30 fruits per plant that weigh a total of 3 to 4 kilos. 

The plants are said to be very vigorous with an erect growth habit so that it is ideal for high density planting. It is said to be very strong against bacterial wilt and tolerant to pests and diseases.

This variety produces glossy purple fruits and can be harvested early at 60-65 days after transplanting. It was bred at the company’s experimental farm in Tayug, Pangasinan.
