Crown Rot of Papaya
The bacterial crown rot of papaya is one of the serious diseases of this crop, especially in areas where there is continuous rain.
The disease is caused by a bacterium called Erwinia caricaceae.
According to technicians of East-West Seed Company there is no known resistant variety so proper management must be observed to avoid outbreak of the disease.
Good drainage in the plantation will help prevent the spread of the disease. Diseased parts should be burned or buried deeply.

there is a cure for bcr. i’ve been curing this disease in my own papaya plantation these past 8 years.
