The Philippine Orchid Society will stage its second annual garden show in 2019 from August 30 to September 9 at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.

One highlight is the daily lectures on timely topics startng at 2 p.m. as follows:

August 30 – Growing Orchid Seedlings From Flask by Norberto Bautista.

August 31 – Growing Lady Slippers & Other Lithophytic Orchids by Jun Golamco.

Sept. 1 – Tropicalizing Bonsai  by Dr. Erwin Fabros

Sept. 2 – Growing Dendrobiums and Phalaenopsis by Cora Purificacion

sept. 3 – Simple Floral Arrangements For All Occasions by Ma. Dolores Alarcon.

Sept. 4 – Growing Catasetum Orchids by Richard Anthony Lao

Sept. 5 – Growing Vandaceous Orchids by Kelvin Neil B. Manubay

Sept. 6 – Growing Culinary Herbs and Spices by Ponchit Ponce Enrile

Sept. 7 – Growing Platyceriums as Orchid Companion Plants by Vangie Go.

Sept. 8 –  Growing Cattleya Orchids by Dr. Ray Lo

Sept. 9 – Growing Philippine Native Trees by Ms. Cel Tungol.

Venue of the garden show is the Flower Garden, Quezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City. Ceremonial opening by invitation only is at 3 pm of Thursday, August 29, 2019. The show is open to the public on August 30.
