There are new arrivals of seedlings of Dwarf Coconut With Sweet Water at the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal. This is the Nam Wan variety from Thailand which will usually bear fruit in three years from planting if large planting materials (LPM) are used. there is very good reason to use planting materials that are at least four feet tall so that there is better survival in the field.
This variety is very prolific. The water is very sweet and is a favorite snack food in Thailand and also now in the Philippines where there are some plantings in Mindanao. More and more people from Luzon are also planting the Nam Wan variety which is now available in big numbers at the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal.
