SEEDLINGS of Nam Wan, the dwarf sweet water coconut from Thailand, are now available at the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal. The stocks are limited so they are being sold on a first-come-first-served basis.
This is a very prolific variety that is being successfully grown by Dr. Pablito Pamplona in North Cotqabato. He supplied the stocks to Sarian Farm for the convenience of buyers in Luzon.
In his trial marketing in a roadside in Mindanao, he found out that local consumers love the sweet water and the meat of the young coconut. This variety will start bearing fruit in three years if given adequate care.
