EMPEROR, a heading lettuce for lowland planting.

EMPEROR is the name of the variety of heading lettuce (Iceberg) that can be grown in the open field in the lowland.

This forms a big head that is firm even under hot climate because it has a strong resistance to early bolting (elongation of the main stem).

This variety was showcased at the field day on February 12, 2014 at the experimental farm of Allied Botanical Corporation in Tayug, Pangasinan.

Allied Botanical also carries several varieties of heading lettuce but these are best grown in higher elevations.

Allied Head Office is at No. 15 ย 21st Avenue, Brgy. Tagumpay, Quezon City. Email: sales@alliedbotanical.com
