ENTERPRISING THAI FARMERS: They Create Embankments In Marshy Areas To Grow High-Value Crops

Thai farmers are really enterprising. They create embankments in marshy areas where they plant high-value crops. Between the embankments are big canals with water deep enough for small bancas or boats to maneuver while carrying the harvest to the farmer’s home or to bring inputs like fertilizers to the plantation. The water could also be used to culture catfish or some other species.
