Fely Gupit's Sogetsu Ikebana Arrangement

This is Fely S. Gupit’s masterpiece Sogetsu Ikebana arrangement which she is displaying at the Ikebana exhibits at the ground floor of Glorietta 4 lobby, Ayala Center, Makati City on Sept. 13-15, 2013.

The exhibit which marks the 24th anniversary of Sogetsu Manila Potential Branch is open free to the public. The theme of the show is “Filipino Artistry in Ikebana.”


The materials that Fely used include the big leaf of philodendron (tibatib), Heliconia rostrata flowers, curcuma inflorescence, wild berries, cassava, yellow corn and Philippine mortar and pestle.


Aside from Ikebana, Mrs. Gupit is also into natural stone collecting and bonsai culture.
