TWO LADIES conducted two free lectures on horticultural topics on November 20, 2015 at the AANI Agri-Bazaar at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.

One is Vangie Go, president of the Philippine Orchid Society, who lectured on growing orchids for beginners. She discussed the different orchid genera and their different requirements. She also delved on how she herself started in the orchid business, including her mistakes that included putting her newly bought orchids in full sun. They got burned.

The other speaker was Norma Villanueva, secretary of the Philippine Horticultural Society and an officer of the Cactus and Succulent Society. She demonstrated how to make dish gardens.

The two lecturers raffled off orchids, ornamental plants and other items.
