FREE QUAIL SEMINAR: Friday August 21, Ynares Jollibee In Antipolo City

A free seminar on Quail Raising will be held on Friday, August 21, from 9 o’clock to 12 noon at the Ynares Jollibee in Antipolo City. The seminar is open to people who would like to start a quail raising business as well as those who are already in the business but would like to know the latest developments.

The seminar is part of an outreach program of Agrichexers, a leading feed manufacturer of quail feeds and other feeds for pigs and poultry. Jefrey dela Cruz, an expert in quail production, will be the resource person. He will take up the basic information on how to start a quail raising project like housing for the birds, feeding and nutrition, care of layers and many more.

Agrichexers, headed by Engr. Gil SP Garcia, supplies 1,000 tons of quail feeds every month. That’s 20,000 bags. A total of 1,000 quails consume three bags of 50 kilos per week. Hence, at any one time, 1.5 million quails are being fed with Agrichexers feed.

Quail raising can be a profitable agri-venture that is suited for even small scale operators. The capital needed is much smaller than when one raises commercial chickens. Quails attain laying age in just about 35 days from hatching. A number of professionals we know, including dentists, are engaged in large scale quail raising. They have mastered their production techniques as well as their marketing.
