Zac B. Sarian and a fruitful Honey Mandarin.

ONE citrus variety that is a very good candidate for planting in containers is the Honey mandarin. It grows well in the upland as well as in the lowland, like most other citrus varieties.

This citrus should do well even in a medium-size rubberized container provided it is given a rich growing medium that may consist of carbonized rice hull, top soil and organic fertilizer such as Durabloom.

Of course, the plant should be situated in full sun. The beauty about growing this in a container is that it can be kept low and yet fruitful.

Spraying the young grafted tree with Power Grower Combo should hasten its growth and development. When it is flowering, spray it with Heavy Weight Tandem which should promote heavy fruit set, uniform fruits that are bigger, juicier and sweeter.
