Costales Nature Farms is pleased to announce the conduct of  92nd batch of  3-day Integrated Organic Agriculture workshop on Oct 1-3, 2015 in Brgy. Gagalot, Majayjay, Laguna. The workshop is a combination of lectures (30%) and hands-on/farm immersion activities (70%) right at the farm in order to ensure 100% learning of organic agriculture production and organic farming business techniques.

The workshop includes inoculation of indigenous and effective beneficial microorganisms, organic fertilizer production techniques, conversion of farm and kitchen waste to foliar and basal fertilizer, production of plant-based pest and disease repellents, vermi-composting, organic crop production techniques – from tilling, seed sowing  to post-harvesting, farm layout planning, organic hog and free range poultry production, formulation of organic feeds, sales & marketing and organic agriculture certification process.

The resource speakers for the workshop are Mr. Ronald C. Costales, a two-time national awardee for the Outstanding Organic Agriculture farmer of the Philippines award given by GAWAD SAKA and ROTARY CLUB INTL and also a current board member of National Organic Agriculture Board (NOAB), the highest policy making body for Organic Agriculture in the country and Mr. Reden Mark Costales, the President of Costales Nature Farms and one of the few holders of TESDA’s NC2 on Integrated Organic Agriculture Production. Reden is also a top graduate of Agribusiness  in Dela Salle University, Dasmarinas, Cavite recently awarded as the ” Most Outstanding La Sallian”.

Costales Nature Farms is an accredited private extension service provider(ESP) of Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) on Organic Agriculture and partner of Department of Agriculture (DA) as a techno-demo farm and learning site in region 4A. Costales Nature Farms is also a technology convergence partner of DSWD for Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) for COCO-HUB project, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) for ARCCESS program as an AES/BDS provider, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) for strengthening diplomatic relationship with neighboring countries through organic agriculture and farm tourism development training.
