Prof. Kiyotaka Kobayashi from the Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Floral Art in Kyoto, Japan will conduct a free Ikebana demonstration on June 30 at 2 p.m at the Glorietta Activity Center, Palm Drive, Makati City. The event is under the auspices of the Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Manila in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan.
The free demonstration is a highlight of the Ikebana exhibits which will run through July 5 and open free to the public. Lecture demonstrations will also be held every afternoon at 3 o’clock. The demonstrators are: July 1, Prof. Met Metilla and Prof. Lupe Lazaro; July 2, Prof. Tess Calunsod, Aida Villanueva and Nina Ramos; July 3, Tina Abalos, Prof. Liling Nuguid and Tess Baldonado; July 4, Prof. Joyce Kato, Mila Robles and Missy Ignacio; and July 5, Dr. Jun Balderrama, Prof. Mett Metilla and Dr. Norie Balderrama.
Previous to the above, on June 27 to29, Prof. Kobayashi will conduct a seminar-workshop on the latest trends in Ikebana for the members of the Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Manila at the Design Center of the Philippines.
