Japanese Saluyot Seeds Now Available

NEWLY harvested Japanese Saluyot seeds are now available at the Sarian Farm. This is the variety that is considered the best saluyot selection from Japan where people are fond of eating this vegetable for its reported health attributes.

This Japanese Saluyot selection is a fast grower that produces bigger leaves than the ordinary variety. It grew up to eight feet tall at the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal. The big leaves are tender and have the same flavor as the ordinary variety. We have cooked our own harvest adobo style with bagnet. Tastes really great.

There are other ways of preparing saluyot. One is to cook a soupy dish of saluyot, bamboo shoot and broiled mudfish or dalag. That’s yummy.

Powdered saluyot can also be used to fortify pansit canton noodles together with powdered malunggay. Pandesal with saluyot powder is another possibility.

The seeds readily germinate in just a few days from sowing. For more info on availability, contact Rose at 0915-434-4216.
