JILL is the name of a very promising Oriental Melon that is being field-tested at the Known You Philippines (KYP) experimental farm in Rosales, Pangasinan.

According to Julius Barcelona of KYP, Jill produces small fruits that are small, about half kilo each, sweet and aromatic. It has green rind and flesh.

Jill is also prolific. It is producing an average of 8 fruits per vine at the KYP farm. The highest they got was 12 fruits from one plant. Another good trait of Jill is that it can be grown year-round, including the rainy months.
