JOEL LIM ALCASID: Interesting Guy At Agrilink With Rare & Expensive Fowls

If you had attended the Agrilink Expo at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, October 4-6, you would have loved to see the rare and expensive fowls showcased by Joel Lim Alcasid who runs an aviary in Pansol, Calamba City in Laguna.

If you are an aficionado who does not mind paying a high price for a rare fowl, you might have bought the large Brahma chicken which would have cost you P25,000 a pair. The rooster weighs about 10 kilos. But would you dress such an expensive fowl to make your favorite adobo? Maybe, maybe not.

Another big fowl you would love to own is the White Enben Swan Goose from Germany. It is such a huge fowl, you would have a hard time carrying it. The gander, weighs about 10 kilos and a pair costs P12,000 to P15,000. It is good for meat production.

The Toulouse goose from France is also a lovely gray fowl. It is well known for its large liver which is used for making pate. There are many other fowls you would love to own in Joelโ€™s collection.
