If you visit the GerNil’s Farm in Topland, Koronadal City, most likely you will be given a welcome drink called Katangsi. This is a refreshing drink extract from kamote, tanglad and kalamansi. GerNil’s farm is a member of SOX Farm Tourism Association headed by Capt. James F. Reamon.
The farm is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Gerardo Cordero who are farming the organic way. The couple operate three parcels of land where they grow cacao, coconut, banana, mangosteen, guyabano and lanzones. They are also into “palay-isdaan” or the growing of rice combined with tilapia.
The Corderos process medicinal herbs into powder and cacao beans into tablea. Their farm is accredited as a School for Practical Agriculture (SPA) by the Agricultural Training Institute-Region 12.They are members of SOX Farm Tourism Association and can be contacted at 0906-806-1659.
