Malaysian Hybrid Durian At The Sarian Farm

Batangas Vice Gov. Nas Ona was fascinated by the fruiting Malaysian hybrid durian at the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal during his visit on July 14, 2017. He had gone to the farm to buy planting materials of exotic fruits that include two varieties of Vietnam pummelo, seedless guava, rambutan, atimoya and many others.
The Malaysian hybrid has chrome yellow flesh that has a mealy consistency. The fruits are small, just over a kilo each, which makes it much easier to market.
The vice governor has farm in Calaca, Batangas where he already has other fruit trees. One of his commercial crops is the Barako coffee (Liberica) which has a high price in the market.
