RICARDO TOLENTINO, the undisputed Mango King of from Ilocos Norte, has added vegetables in his line of production. He has bought a new farm in Laoag City where he is now growing a wide variety of favorite vegetables that include tomato, squash, gourd or upo, patola and papaya.

He and his bosom friend Nestor Acosta of Bacarra town are the big suppliers of vegetables in the Kadiwa market put up by Gov. Imee Marcos not far from the Capitol Building to provide an outlet for the farmers’ produce. The market is open on Fridays and Saturdays.

Of course, mango is his main produce. He is managing 10,000 century old mango trees and 70,000 younger grafted trees owned by other farmers in addition to his own 5,000 mature trees.
