On August 28, 2019 we finished sowing some 800 mangosteen seeds at the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal.  To our great satisfaction, germination was practically 100 percent in a matter of two to three weeks from seeding. We did not see any seed that did not sprout.

We followed the advice of Engr. Caysing Tan who had formulated the Bionature Cocktail consisting of seaweed extracts, beneficial microorganisms and wood vinegar. He recommended that we spray the sprouted seedlings once a week with his concoction of plant growth enhancer.

The treatment worked wonderfully. We first took a picture of the seedlings which had two leaves on October 13. Every so often, we took pictures to record the progress of the seedlings. The latest photo was taken on December 20, 2019. Not a few people had told us before that mangosteen seedlings are very slow growing. With Bionature Cocktail, we are very pleased with the growth of the seedlings. By no means slow.

The seedlings are very healthy and no trace of insect or disease damage. Tan explains that the seaweed extract enhances plant growth, so with the beneficial microorganisms. The wood vinegar, aside from contributing to fast plant growth, also has repellant action against pests.
