MULTIPLE-CROWN GRAFTED MANGOES AT THE SARIAN FARM

MULTIPLE-CROWN GRAFTED MANGOES AT THE SARIAN FARMMultiple-crown grafted mangoes that are already 5 ft tall are being produced at the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal. These are good for those who have limited growing areas because with just one tree, one can have two or three or even more than three varieties on one tree.

The rootstocks are mostly carabao mango. Unto the rootstocks are grafted selected varieties such as R2E2 or Peach Mango from Australia, Bowen from Australia, Golden Queen from Taiwan, Eating Green, Chokanan, Nam Dok Mai, Lubdok and Falan from Thailand, Millennium from Malaysia, Sweet Elena from Zambales, MMSU Gold from Batac City, and the like.

These multi-crown planting materials should start bearing fruit in two or three years from planting if they are taken care of properly. Some of them may even be grown in rubberized containers.
