NAM ROI: Sweet And Juicy White Pummelo From Vietnam

Nam Roi, the white pummelo from Vietnam is usually served during breakfast in upscale hotels in Vietnam. It was introduced in the Philippines in 2004 and since then it has been proven to be productive under Philippine conditions.

The variety produces relatively big fruits (average 2 kg) that are ovoid. To produce really juicy and delicious fruits, apply muriate of potash (0-0-60) or spray Heavy Weight Tandem when the fruits are about five months old. Then allow the fruits to fully mature before harvesting. By this time, the skin will be thin. After harvesting, store the fruit for at least one week in a cool but well ventilated place. This will give you very smooth, sweet and juicy Nam Roi pummelo.

By the way, grafted and marcotted Nam Roi and Vietnam Red pummelo are available at the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal. Contact Rose at 0947-590-0398 or 0947-409-4700 or 0995-584-9155 for additional information.
