NATIVE CHICKENS LAY THE GOLDEN EGGS

The native chicken may as well be called the fowl that lays the golden egg. That’s because in the case of Eddie Cañuto of Ephrathah Farms in Badiangan, Iloilo, he sells the eggs of his free-range native chickens at P11.50 apiece. That’s more than double the price of the traditional leghorn eggs.
Right now, he is just collecting about 150 eggs a day. But he is determined to increase his flock so he could produce double or triple what he is getting now, and then to further expand as necessary. He is selling to a well known supermarket today which is in need of some more.
What breed of chicken are they raising?
Native sa Iloilo. Tawag nila Darag.

I bought my Darag Breeders them thru Mam Eva Sintin Montero, R&D Directress. This is La Esperanza Darag Native Chicken Farm in Binangonan Rizal.
