NEW BOOK: On 123 Philippine Native Trees


FERNANDO AURIGUE donated a new book titled Philippine Native Trees to the Philippine Horticultural Society headed by Dorie S. Bernabe. He authored the articles on three of the 123 species featured. These are Igem-dagat, Kahoy-dalaga and Pakiling.
Nanding, as we often call him, graduated from UP Los Baรฑos and works as a scientist at the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute. He also heads a research group at the Philippine Horticultural Society.
The book was published by Green Convergence and Hortica Filipina, Inc.

Isn’t pakiling also called isis used to scrub pasamano and capis windows? I have lots of seedlings and I use the leaves to scrub pots and pans and to make sure detergent used to wash plates/glasses/utensils are totally rinsed off. I am just being an earth-friendly and natural-everything-advocate.
