NEW BOOK: On 123 Philippine Native Trees
Fernando Aurigue hands a copy of the book on Philippine Native Trees to Dorie S. ย Bernabe, PHS president.

FERNANDO AURIGUE donated a new book titled Philippine Native Trees to the Philippine Horticultural Society headed by Dorie S. Bernabe. He authored the articles on three of the 123 species featured. These are Igem-dagat, Kahoy-dalaga and Pakiling.

Nanding, as we often call him, graduated from UP Los Baรฑos and works as a scientist at the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute. He also heads a research group at the Philippine Horticultural Society.

The book was published by Green Convergence and Hortica Filipina, Inc.

  1. Isn’t pakiling also called isis used to scrub pasamano and capis windows? I have lots of seedlings and I use the leaves to scrub pots and pans and to make sure detergent used to wash plates/glasses/utensils are totally rinsed off. I am just being an earth-friendly and natural-everything-advocate.
