NOTABLE FRUITS: At The Bentham Market, Ho Chi Mihn City

We would like to share with you some of the fruits we found interesting in the fruit and vegetable section of Ben Tham Market in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Longan fruits the lady is selling are very plump, juicy and sweet. She also sells rambutan.

Pink guava is very attractive. The fruits are big and with not so many seeds. We now have them at the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal.
Avocado with round fruit has chrome yellow flesh.
Sweet orange with red flesh, juicy and sweet.
Newly harvested mangosteen. Note the very green peduncle. Quite expensive in Ho Chi Mihn City.
Vietnam mangoes. Big but the carabao mango has better flavor, if you ask us.
Nam Roi pummelo, usually served for breakfast in upscale hotels in Vietnam. Sweet and juicy. Now propagated at the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal. Well adapted to PH growing conditions. White flesh readily separates from the rind.
Plateful of fruits for breakfast in the hotel, including Nam Roi pummelo, passion fruit , papaya, watermelon, dragon fruit, pineapple and banana.
