There’s always a very nice feeling when you harvest the fruits of your own trees that you have nurtured with loving care.

That’s what we felt when we harvested some of the fruits of our longkong trees on September 20, 2013. They were really sweet but what was more enjoyable than the eating was the actual picking. It was also very enjoyable to share the fruits with some friends, visitors and colleagues in the office.

Our rambutan trees are really very productive this year. We started harvesting as early as May this year and there are still plenty on the trees. The successive fruiting could be attributed to our spraying the trees with Power Grower Combo and Heavy Weight Tandem of Mr. Alfonso G. Puyat.

We hope to see you at the Agrilink on October 10-12. This will be at the World Trade Center-Manila, corner of Gil Puyat Avenue and Macapagal Blvd., Pasay City. We will be bringing a lot of planting materials of our exotic fruit trees.

This is Toto Montilla arranging the fruits in a crate on a layer of Longkong leaves and then topped with another layer of leaves. The filled crate is then placed in a cool place for three days. That makes the fruits even sweeter as they are aged.
