PROFITABLE COMBINATION: Orchids & Restaurant

ON JUNE 18, 2014 we visited a very smart combination of orchid business and a restaurant in the township of Tian-Wei, Chonghua county, Taiwan. This is the Tenway Eco-Leisure Farm. What used to be just an orchid greenhouse is now a combination of a huge restaurant and a sales area of beautiful phalaenopsis orchids.
There are two big air-conditioned dining rooms. The bigger one which could be at least 600 square meters has an unusual decoration composed of lush Boston ferns that look like chandeliers beneath the ceiling.

The second dining room houses a big display of beautiful phalaenopsis in attractive vases and pots. There are arrangements that cost more than a thousand Taiwan dollars.
It has been a very wise move for the owner, Mr. Wu Hong-Ze, to transform his orchid house into a restaurant cum orchid showcase. There diners can also buy their favorite phalaenopsis for use as decoration at home or for giving as gift to special people.
That was a very smart move for Mr. Wu to combine dining and orchids. It surely is a very profitable combination. Hordes of diners troop to the place to partake of good food.
