Philippine Plant Festival, Jan. 25-Feb.5, 2019, Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife



A 12-day Philippine Plant Festival will be held on January 25 to February 5, 2019 at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife in Quezon City. This is the first show of a group of veteran horticulture practitioners that will bring together garden and landscape designers, florists, commercial exhibitors and hobbyists from around the country.

The Festival aims to create an immersive experience that will further develop the growing interest in horticulture. It will serve as an ideal platform to introduce gardening products and services, according to Doreen Dofitas, spokesperson of the organizers.

The event will also enhance technology transfer and exchange of know-how among stakeholders in horticulture not only in the Philippines but worldwide. Local and international visitors will be able to appreciate Philippine plants and floral artistry of the participating individuals and groups.

There will be lectures and workshops during the the 12-day event. On the first day, January 15, Ponchit Ponce Enrile will lecture on the Wonderful World of Chillies. He is the president of the Chilli Heads Philippines, a group of chilli aficionados that stges an annual Chilli Festival.
