A total of 80 purebred registered Brahman heifers and bulls are scheduled to arrive on Nov. 8, 2017 from Australia, it was learned from Ian Abalos who was commissioned by a local importer to select the animals which are intended for breeding. Abalos is the operations manager of 5A Cattle Breeding Farm, a subsidiary of Abalos and Sons Agro Industrial Corp.
Abalos is shown in photo with some of the Brahmans he had selected at Rangland Brahman Heifers in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia. He is a well experienced cattle man with long years of managing the Abalos ranch in San Mateo, Rizal.
The animals will be quarantined at the Abalos farm in San Jacinto, Pangasinan which boasts of well designed housing facilities. The animals will be taken care of by Abalos for at least one month while they are under quarantine.
The Australian Brahmans are 11 to 12 months old weighing an average of 230 kilos each. The importer is Blue Heeler Enterprises headed by Jefferson Valencia.
