If you happen to go to Vietnam, look for the fried fruits and roots by Quynh Anh. They are really nice to eat, without any preservatives, no added sugar and they are oil-free. The oil is removed after frying.
The manufacturer is a joint stock company in Dong Nai province managed by the amiable Le Dinh Tuan, president. The company fries about one ton of raw materials a day, the bulk of which is jackfruit. What’s good about about the place is that there are a lot of jackfruit trees planted by small scale farmers. Quynh Anh is a ready market so they keep on planting new trees.
And that is why the company is expanding its operations. It has just put up a big building not far from the original site but which is nearer the jackfruit plantations as well as the port for shipping.
The fried products include jackfruit, banana, taro, sweet potato, pineapple and lotus seeds. They are all greaseless and very crisp. Pretty soon, a Philippine company will be bringing in some of the products so Filipinos can enjoy them too. Keep following our blog for new developments. We visited the facility on Feb. 20m 2016 in the company of Donna Cancio Le, Virgie de la Fuente, Romel Bolano and Edgardo Bonabente of Vina Gourmet Ville of Mayon, Quezon City.
