RAM SAMAR is a 40-year-old businessman in financing who is in love with farming. He is developing a 16-hectare property into a tourist destination in Bicol. For a start he is planting exotic fruit trees on two hectares. He will also put up a showcase of a cacao plantation in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture.
He and his wife have been visiting the Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal where they source some of their planting materials. He says he wants to make sure that his planting materials come from reliable sources.
