REAMON FARM: First To Be Accredited Farm Tourism Destination In Region 12

The farm of Capt. James F. Reamon and his wife Gilda in Gen. Santos City was accredited by the Department of Tourism as the first farm tourism destination in Region 12 or Soccsksargen (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and Gen. Santos City). The farm is called Felicidad Orchard Garden & Organics located in Purok 9-B, Katangawan, General Santos City.

The farm has a vast collection vine species, palms, bamboos, indigenous bananas, ornamental and forest trees. A training hall and a resturant were built recently for tourism and training purposes.

Usec. Bong Bengson of the Department of Tourism inducted the officers of the SOX Farm Tourism Association last March 8, 2017.

By the way, Capt. Reamon, a retired pilot, is the president of the Sox Farm Tourism Association with over 20 members who are mostly organic farmers. The other officers are Fermin Rivas, VP Gen. Santos City; Mayette Sy, VP South Cotatabo; Fred Dumasis, VP Sarangani; Victoria Motril, secretary; Harris Sinulindong, VP North Cotabato; William Sy, treasurer; Lorde Magoncea, VP Kidapawan.
