Dr. Arturo Marcelino Sr. is a retired surgeon who is enjoying his own brand of sustainable farming in Zaragosa, Nueva Ecija.

He raises farm animals like goats, sheep, poultry and vegetables and fruits. He collects both imported as well as indigenous fruit trees and vegetables.

On January 24, at the Horticulture 2014 at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City, he was excited to acquire an indigenous vegetable he had seen for the first time – the Lagikway or Likway from Dinagat island and some other provinces.

Photo shows him with his newly acquired indigenous vegetable called Likway in Mindanao and Lagikway in Quezon province.
