A Rootcrops Fiesta will be held on August 10 to 11, 2015 at the Visayas State University in Baybay City, Leyte. This event specifically intends to promote the technologies in cassava processing as well as the food products derived from this rootcrop to interested stakeholders.
The event also aims to provide a venue to match cassava food products and the developed processing systems with potential markets, processors, investors and other local consumers.
FIESTA is an event-based technology transfer strategy of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) of the Department of Science and Technology. It aims to promote S&T and its products towards providing competitive and profitable business ventures for the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in agriculture, aquatic and natural resources in the country.
