From Davao City, VICKY JIMENEZ reports that cacti and succulents, foliage ornamentals, flowering plants, orchids, fruit trees and many others are selling like the proverbial hot cake at the month-long garden show that runs from March 1 to 31. The show is at the back of SM Annex grounds.

The garden show is a feature of the observance of Araw ng Dabaw which is held every year. This year, bonsai takes center stage as the members of the Davao Bonsai Society, headed by Salvador ‘Rocky’ Baracca,  showcase their masterpieces in the exhibit area.

Aside from ornamental plants and orchids, visitors will be able to buy garden supplies like fertilizers, nets, pots, pest control products, bonsai materials, furniture and many more.
