A two-row mechanical corn planter cum fertilizer applicator is one of the latest farm implements developed by the Central Isabela Agri Manufacturing Corporation (CIAMC) based in Cauayan City, Isabela.
The machine can make corn planting easier, faster and more economical. According to CIAMC president Eugene T. Gabriel, it is attached to a hand tractor and can be operated by just one man. It can plant single seed per hill on three to five hectares per day.
Earlier, CIAMC announced its cassava digger which can harvest one hectare of cassava in three hours when hitched to a 90-horsepower tractor. Those interested may contact Mr. Gabriel at 0908-890-2474 or 0922-800-2474 for more information.
