Steamed Camote Root

Camote root is usually prepared by boiling ย and frying. There’s another way of preparing camote. Slice the roots about half inch thick. Steam it for five minutes or until it’s fully cooked. You just wash the root well without removing the skin. You will love the taste. It is economical because you don’t use oil in cooking. The slices are very convenient to eat. Try eating sliced camote for breakfast instead of rice, together with your other usual breakfast fare. Or try bringing sliced camote to office for your snack. That’s what we sometimes do.
