YOU want your eggplants to produce a lot of fruits, do you? But, of course! Here’s a simple technique we learned from the research station of Known-You Seed in Pingtung, Taiwan.
Here’s the technique. They enable each plant to produce as many fruits as possible by simply pinching the growing point when the transplanted seedling has developed four leaves. This will induce new branches to sprout.
Usually, 4 branches will come out. As the new branches grow bigger, they are trained to develop sidewards instead of growing upwards. This enables the plant to carry a load of as many as 25+ fruits at a time!
