UPDATE-2: RedOrange jackfruit seedlings growing well, reserved plenty

Photo shows the so-called “rags”, the deep orange arils and seeds of RedOrange jackfruit.

We took pictures of the seedlings of our RedOrange jackfruit selection on April 22, 2020 and of course we are very pleased. The seedlings are growing very well.

We are also very pleased that many fruit enthusiasts are placing their reservations. A guy from Guam had emailed us that he wants 200 seedlings for his farm in Pangasinan. Five who are apparently planting for commercial purposes are reserving 50 seedlings each. One reserved for 30 for planting in Palawan. Then there are smaller orders. Five are reserving 25 each while others are reserving fewer numbers.

655 RESERVED – More or less, 655 are already reserved. We planted 788 seeds so there are just more than a hundred that are not yet reserved. Those interested come from as far as Cagayan Valley, Gensan, Davao City, Batangas, Bicol and elsewhere.

Thatโ€™s for now. Just keep visiting our blog for further developments.

  1. Dear Sir Zac,

Pwede ba buto nalang ang bilhin sa Red Orange jackfruit mo, kasi mahirap mag transport papunta dito sa Dinagat Islands. Hindi naman marami ang need ko. Sana pagbigyan mo ako.

    Maraming salamat po.

    1. Sorry Mr. Casaul. We don’t deliver our plants. You have to pick them up in Sarian Farm in Teresa, Rizal. Price of RedOrange seedling is 200 pesos.

  3. Sir Zac, I am now developing my own farm in Dinagat Islands, and it is already a TESDA Accredited Farm School and a Learning Site accredited by DA-Agriculture Training Institute. Thank you for your insights given when you visit Dinagat Islands before.

Sir, I want to subscribe again to the Agriculture Magazine, my problem before is the delivery of my magazine that did not reach to me. I suggest having LBC as the courier if it is possible.

Thank you, Sir, and always stay healthy.

    Wilfredo C. Tiu
