This particular tree has been bearing fruits non-stop since it was 18 months old. It is now about 6 years old. Thousands of seedlings have been produced from its fruits. The seedlings usually start bearing fruit less than two years from planting.
Cacao is one of the priority crops of the government. There’s a big shortage in the supply of cacao beans so that the price is high. Cacao can be intercropped with coconut trees to maximize production in coconut farms.
Seedlings of this variety are available at the Sarian Farm.
